Copy Trading — Disclosure & User Agreement

Copy Trading Agreement

Written by Dan

Effective Date: October 15, 2026 | Last Updated: October 15, 2026

FjordPath, Inc. dba ClearEdge Automation

You must read and accept this agreement before using the Copy trading feature.

CRITICAL WARNING: Copy trading replicates the trades you place by hand across every follower account you connect. A single trade error, software malfunction, or signal misfire can result in simultaneous losses across ALL connected accounts. Your total financial exposure is multiplied by the number of accounts you connect, and by any size multiplier you apply to them. Ensure you fully understand these risks before proceeding.

This Copy Trading Disclosure and User Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between you (the "User") and FjordPath, Inc., doing business as ClearEdge Automation (the "Company"). By designating an account as a leader, adding a follower, or otherwise using the Copy trading feature, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Description of the Copy Trading Feature

Copy trading is a multi-account trade replication tool within the ClearEdge Automation platform. You designate one of your own accounts as a "Leader" and trade it by hand, whether from your broker's own platform or from within the Service. Every position the Leader opens, adds to, or closes becomes a signal that is routed to the other accounts you have connected to that Leader (each a "Follower"). Each Follower may be configured with its own instrument — the Leader's contract, or its mini or micro equivalent — and its own size, expressed either as a multiple of the Leader's size or as a fixed number of contracts.

Copy trading is designed solely for users replicating their own manual trading across accounts they themselves own and control, on supported and compatible broker and proprietary trading firm platforms. It is not a signal-sharing service, and it is not intended or authorized for replicating your trades into any account belonging to another person. Routing your trades to accounts you do not own may constitute the provision of trading advice or the management of another person's account, which may require registration with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the National Futures Association, or another regulator. You are solely responsible for your compliance with any such requirement.

2. Amplified Financial Risk

You acknowledge and understand that Copy trading creates a multiplied financial risk profile distinct from single-account trading. Specifically:

2a. Proportional Loss Replication

Any trade that results in a loss on the Leader account will, by design, result in similar losses across all Follower accounts. The aggregate loss across all accounts may be substantially larger than the loss on the Leader alone, and a size multiplier greater than one, or a fixed size larger than the Leader's, will increase a Follower's loss beyond the Leader's in both absolute and proportional terms. You represent that you have the financial capacity and risk tolerance to sustain simultaneous losses across every account you connect.

2b. Compounding Error Risk

Any software error, signal misfire, connectivity failure, or broker-side execution issue affecting the Leader will be replicated across all Followers. The consequences of any such error are therefore multiplied. ClearEdge Automation is not liable for losses resulting from such errors across any number of Follower accounts.

2c. Inconsistent Execution

ClearEdge Automation does not guarantee that all Followers will receive, execute, or fill a copied trade simultaneously or at the same price. Differences in broker infrastructure, latency, margin availability, contract specifications, trading hours, and account-specific settings may result in inconsistent execution across Followers. This may leave some accounts holding open positions while others do not, creating unintended risk imbalances. Where a Follower is configured on a mini or micro contract, its exposure will not correspond exactly to the Leader's, and rounding of contract quantities may leave a Follower over- or under-exposed relative to your intent.

3. Proprietary Trading Firm (Prop Firm) Account Risks

Special Warning for Prop Firm Account Users: Connecting a prop firm account as a Leader or a Follower carries severe account-specific risks, including the potential loss of your evaluation status or funded account. Read this section carefully.

If you connect any proprietary trading firm ("prop firm") account to Copy trading, you expressly acknowledge the following:

3a. Prop Firm Rule Compliance

Prop firm accounts are subject to strict and firm-specific trading rules, including but not limited to:

  • Maximum daily loss limits;

  • Maximum trailing drawdown limits;

  • Position size restrictions;

  • Prohibited trading instruments or hours;

  • Consistency rules (limitations on outsized winning or losing days);

  • Hedging rules;

  • Copy trading rules, including restrictions on replicating the same trades across multiple accounts at the same firm or across firms.

ClearEdge Automation has no access to, and does not monitor, the specific rules applicable to your prop firm account(s). The per-account limits available within the Service are values you set yourself; they are not derived from, and do not reflect, your prop firm's rules. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that every trade copied to a prop firm account complies with that firm's rules, and that the firm permits copy trading at all.

3b. Account Disqualification Risk

A trade copied to a prop firm account that violates that firm's rules may result in:

  • Immediate disqualification from a prop firm evaluation;

  • Termination of a funded account;

  • Loss of all fees paid to the prop firm;

  • Loss of any potential gains within the account;

  • Potential permanent ban from the prop firm platform.

ClearEdge Automation bears no liability for prop firm account disqualifications or terminations resulting from Copy trading. The risk of losing prop firm accounts is expressly assumed by you.

3c. Multiple Prop Firm Account Loss

If you connect multiple prop firm accounts as Followers, it is foreseeable that a single trade on the Leader could simultaneously disqualify or terminate all of them. You acknowledge this risk and agree that ClearEdge Automation bears no responsibility for such outcomes.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Copy trading, you agree to:

  • Connect only accounts that you own and control, on supported and compatible broker or prop firm platforms.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on the trading rules of each account you connect, as Leader or as Follower, before copying any trade to it.

  • Configure the instrument, size multiplier or fixed size, and risk parameters independently for each Follower, and satisfy yourself that the resulting exposure is one that account can carry.

  • Monitor the Leader and every Follower in real time during active trading sessions, particularly during periods of market volatility, major news events, or contract roll periods.

  • Remove any Follower, or stop the Leader, if you become aware of a conflict with that account's trading rules.

  • Immediately stop the Leader and manually review all positions if you experience any software issue, signal error, or unexpected trade behavior.

  • Run each connected account in one place at a time. Running the same broker account in the desktop application and in the ClearEdge console simultaneously will cause both to act on the same trade, producing duplicate orders and positions larger than you intended. Neither system can see the other's orders, so neither one's risk limits reflect your true exposure.

  • Treat your broker's statements, rather than the Service's journal or reporting, as the record of your positions and account activity across the Leader and all Followers.

5. Position State, Built-in Limits, and Their Boundaries

The Service records closed trades in its journal and can enforce per-account limits that you configure, including a daily loss limit, a profit target, and a cap on open positions. These are a safeguard; they are not a guarantee, and they do not make Copy trading a supervised or risk-managed service. You acknowledge that:

  • Copy trading routes signals in one direction, from Leader to Follower. The Service does not confirm back to you that a copied trade was successfully received, executed, or filled in any individual Follower account.

  • The Service's limits are applied per account using the values you set. They do not aggregate exposure across the Leader and its Followers, and they do not reflect your broker's or prop firm's own drawdown, margin, or consistency rules.

  • No limit can be enforced while the Service is restarting, updating, disconnected from a broker, or otherwise unavailable, nor where a broker rejects or delays an instruction.

  • The Service does not prevent duplicate, conflicting, or erroneous orders from being routed to Follower accounts.

  • A Leader that the Service has not taken shows as NOT LEADING, and while it is in that state its Followers copy nothing, including exits. A Leader that already holds a position in a copied instrument shows as WAITING FOR FLAT and does not copy until that position has closed. You are responsible for checking the state of a Leader before relying on it.

  • Removing a Follower, unticking an instrument, or pressing Stop leading does not close any position already open in the affected accounts. Those positions remain at your broker and must be managed by you.

  • An account designated as a Leader cannot also run automation agents, and any agents on it are deleted when it becomes a Leader. Deleting an agent does not close any position it holds.

  • Journal entries, statistics, and P&L reporting are provided for your convenience and may be incomplete or delayed.

You remain solely responsible for maintaining awareness of position states across the Leader and every Follower, and for keeping your broker's or prop firm's own risk controls configured as an independent backstop.

6. Relationship to the Broadcast Feature

Copy trading and Broadcast are separate features governed by separate terms. Broadcast involves following the trade signals of another ClearEdge user, and is subject to the simulated-accounts-only policy described in Section 13 of the Important Disclosures and in the Broadcast Feature — Follower Agreement. Copy trading involves replicating your own manual trades into your own accounts, and that simulated-accounts-only restriction does not apply to it. You remain responsible for ensuring that each account you connect is eligible under its own broker or prop firm agreement, and that your use of the feature complies with applicable law.

7. Relationship to the Echo Feature

Copy trading and Echo are separate features governed by separate terms. Echo is a trading pad: you press Buy, Sell or Flatten once within an Echo session and every account carrying that Echo signal takes the trade. Copy trading replicates the trades you place by hand on a Leader account. Use of Echo is governed by the Echo Feature — Disclosure & User Agreement; this Agreement governs Copy trading. Where you use both, each account remains subject to the limits and responsibilities described in both documents, and your aggregate exposure is the sum of what every feature has opened.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FjordPath, Inc., its affiliates, and its employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Copy trading, including but not limited to:

  • Simultaneous trading losses across the Leader and any number of Follower accounts;

  • Loss of prop firm evaluation or funded account status;

  • Execution failures, duplicate orders, partial fills, or signal misfires replicated across Follower accounts;

  • Trades that were not copied, including exits, for any reason, including a Leader in a NOT LEADING or WAITING FOR FLAT state;

  • Positions left open after a Follower, Leader, or instrument was removed;

  • Any failure of a built-in limit to prevent a loss, for any reason;

  • Your failure to monitor connected accounts or configure appropriate risk parameters.

The Company's total liability to you in connection with Copy trading shall not exceed the amount you have paid for your ClearEdge Automation subscription in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

9. Hold Harmless and Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FjordPath, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of Copy trading, including losses sustained across Leader and Follower accounts, prop firm account disqualifications, and any third-party claims related to your multi-account trading activity.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware.

11. Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By using Copy trading, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Copy Trading Disclosure and User Agreement in its entirety;

  • You understand that losses will be replicated across all Follower accounts and that your total financial exposure is multiplied;

  • You own and control every account you connect as a Leader or a Follower;

  • You have reviewed and understand the specific trading rules of each prop firm or brokerage account you are connecting, including whether that firm permits copy trading;

  • You accept sole responsibility for monitoring all connected accounts during active trading sessions;

  • You are 18 years of age or older and legally capable of entering into this Agreement; and

  • You agree to be bound by this Agreement and the ClearEdge Automation Important Disclosures, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.
